Weekend ski equipment rentals rise after low-snow start to 2025

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – An unexpected snowfall combined with spring break brought more business to local rental shops.

Jordan Frey, manager at Hoarding Marmot rental shop, said the year has been slow for business and hobbyists.

“Everyone here in general has been pretty bummed, including all the customers. It’s been pretty sad. You know, everyone from the Nordic Ski Association, those folks are really sad about it,” Frey said…
