Knik River Bridge project likely to cause back-ups and delays for Mat-Su commuters

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – Motorists who commute between Anchorage and the Mat-Su should plan on budgeting extra time to reach their destination starting in April as the Alaska Department of Transportation begins rehabilitation work on two Knik River bridges just south of the Glenn/Parks Highway interchange.

According to DOT Spokesperson Justin Shelby, the northbound bridge is scheduled to close sometime between April 16 and 23 and will remain closed for an entire month while the work is being completed.
