Alaskan remote villages raise concerns over funding cuts to Local Food Purchasing Assistance

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – Alaska communities are speaking out against federal funding cuts to the Local Food Purchasing Assistance (LFPA) program through the United States Department of Agriculture.

On Friday, Alaska’s News Source reported on the broad economic impact of the services to Alaska, with various tribal communities receiving a total of $5,298,875 in federal grant funding.
