Big storm expected to whip wind, rain and snow over Alaska

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – Much of Southcentral Alaska will see very windy conditions starting Tuesday night and increasing on Wednesday.

A warning for higher elevations specifically will affect South Anchorage and hillside locations, which could see gusts likely exceeding 50 mph and ramping up to 90 for higher elevations of the Anchorage hillside in the second half of the day. Secure loose objects and be prepared for power outages.

The large low moving toward Southwest Alaska will generate snow and rain as well as strong winds…
