ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – A few hundred people from nine Catholic parishes in Anchorage participated Friday in the city’s annual Good Friday Faith Walk.
According to Father Patrick Travers, Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Anchorage-Juneau, the walk is meant to reenact the stations of the cross in Jerusalem — a path through the old city traditionally regarded as the one along which Jesus Christ walked from his trial by Pontius Pilate to Calvary.
