ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU)—Over the course of a few hours Friday night into Saturday morning, AFD responded to three fires, according to the fire department.
AFD explained the third fire, a house fire, was worth mentioning due to a car driving over a 5-inch hose being used as a water supply line. AFD said had the line ruptured, it would have put the firefighters inside the building in “significant danger.”
The 5-inch hose was feeding one of the fire engines while firefighters were inside the home putting out flames. The hose is now out of service, and the driver was cited for crossing a fire hose…
