ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – Villages close to Mount Spurr could be at risk of experiencing more ashfall than the Anchorage area if the volcano were to erupt.
According to the US Geological Survey Alaska Volcano Observatory (AVO), villages like Tyonek — which is located about 40 miles southeast of the volcano — could see around an inch fall of ashfall.
