Anchorage Fire Department responds to multiple fires early Monday morning

The Anchorage Fire Department had a busy start to the day Monday with multiple fires requiring urgent responses within just hours of each other.

The first alarm came in at 1:03 a.m., when 911 reported flames and heavy smoke coming from the roof of a home on East 24th Avenue. Multiple crews were quickly dispatched, with firefighters from Stations 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 14 all responding to the scene.
