Upper level low dropping south of the Alaska Range to keep rain for parts of Southcentral

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – The low-pressure system in the Gulf of Alaska continues to weaken as it moves to the south. As a result of this, showers will be few and far between for coastal regions of Southcentral and Southeast Alaska.

Further north into the Interior, an upper-level low bringing snow to the Alaska Range will drop south into Southcentral. This will lead to areas of rain and snow spreading through parts of the Mat-Su and Copper River Basin tonight into Thursday.
