ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – A woman is in critical condition after a welfare check led to an officer-involved shooting in Wasilla Friday night, according to Alaska State Troopers.
AST says a woman made multiple 911 calls from a residence in the Meadow Lakes area. When AST arrived on scene and made contact with the woman, she produced a BB gun and pointed it at the responding Trooper. The Trooper then shot the woman.
The BB gun did not have an orange tip and closely resembled a semiautomatic gun.
