Anchorage is grieving the loss of Star, the friendly reindeer who brought smiles to thousands and became a cherished local figure. Star was tragically euthanized after his pen was allegedly tampered with—first in January, then again in February when locks were cut, leading to Star roaming the streets. He may have eaten a plastic bag during this incident. Soon after, his health declined and he battled pneumonia before his death.
