Over 20 dogs removed from Wasilla home in animal welfare investigation

In Wasilla, a joint operation between Alaska State Troopers and Matanuska-Susitna Borough Animal Care has led to the removal of over twenty dogs from a local residence.

On Wednesday, Alaska State Troopers—working alongside MatSu Animal Care—executed a search warrant at a home on East Susitna Drive in response to ongoing animal welfare concerns.

Inside the residence, authorities recovered 21 dogs living in the home. All of the animals were taken into protective custody by MatSu Borough Animal Care and are now awaiting veterinary examination…
