ANCHORAGE, AK (Alaska’s News Source) – For the first time this month, Anchorage hit 60° under the warm sunshine Friday. Normal high temperatures for this time of the year are even warmer, in the low 60s.
Despite the sunny and warm end to the week, wet and cooler air will arrive for the weekend across Southcentral and Southeast. If you have outdoor plans across Southcentral, be ready for rain in the lower elevations and snow in the mountains. The Anchorage Hillside will also likely see a snow-rain mix early Saturday, before returning to all rain late in the day.
You can expect the rain to transition to showers Saturday evening. A second round of rain is likely late Sunday into Monday. You can keep track of the radar by downloading the free Alaska’s News Source Weather App…
