DENALI, Alaska (KTUU) – Greeted by a brisk rainy day, this Roadtrippin’ crew made our way to the train station, ready to take the trip of a lifetime aboard the Alaska Railroad’s Wilderness Express.
A scenic ride from Anchorage to Denali with minimal stops along the way — we couldn’t wait. We started our journey by finding our seats and settling in, ready to order a Diet Coke or a non-alcoholic Sunrise.
The train features an upper-level open car, where passengers can get a view of the lush greenery. We hung out here as we waited for breakfast to be served.
While waiting, we got a special tour of the train led by the conductor.
Once the first meal of the trip was ready to be served, we made our way to the breakfast car. We were served balanced breakfasts, able to choose between sweet and savory options.
