One day, 100 holes: golfing for a good cause

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – As Anchorage nears the longest day of the year, a group of about a dozen golfers set out to drive, chip and putt their way through a hundred holes, all for a good cause.

The golfers began early Wednesday morning at Fox Hollow Golf Course. It would take roughly 11 play-throughs on the nine-hole course. While aiming for the pin with each shot, their real goal was to raise $20,000 dollars for the local charity ‘Adventure for Ava,’ (AfA).

“The community response has been super positive,” said organizer Kyle Reading. “All the players here have vast networks in business and golf, and everybody here is about [finding] a way to raise funds while golfing…
