The kite flying group recently launched an interactive map detailing dozens of spots where it says people can soar throughout Southcentral Alaska.
“Within the club itself, we kind of have a knowledge of [where you can fly kites]. But other people didn’t,” Alaskiters’ event coordinator Tim Tullis explained. “I decided to sit down over a couple of weekends and put together places I’ve flown that I’ve known and other people have flown… with an identifier of the location and, where possible, a description of what you’ll find there.”…
