Eagle River doughnut shop takes 2nd in national contest

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – What started in a home kitchen has turned into a national name.

Jason’s Donuts may not have taken home the top prize, but in the eyes – and stomachs – of many Alaskans, the Eagle River shop has already been number one.

The family run business has officially earned second place in a national competition celebrating America’s best doughnut shops. The small Alaskan shop made it all the way to the final round, ultimately falling to Old Town Donuts of Florissant, Missouri…
