Alaska Trooper Anthony April honored nationally for community service

Alaska State Trooper Anthony April is being recognized on the national stage for going above and beyond the call of duty.

Trooper April has been named a recipient of the National Life Group’s “Do Good Hero Award,” an honor given to individuals making a significant impact in their communities through volunteerism and service.

In addition to his role in law enforcement, Trooper April devotes much of his time to helping others. He volunteers with the Food Bank of Alaska, mentors youth through the Anchorage Museum’s science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) program, and raises money annually for Special Olympics Alaska by taking part in the Polar Plunge…
