Fourth of July fire, fireworks regulations in Alaska

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – As multiple wildfires rage on across Alaska, burning is not allowed on this Fourth of July in some parts of the state through burn permit suspensions or notices. Fireworks are only allowed in certain areas.

In Anchorage, campfires, burn pits and open fires on the ground are not allowed today, according to the Anchorage Fire Department (AFD).

“Your 4th of July BBQ is still allowed and you can use a portable outdoor fireplace if you follow the burning guidelines,” AFD wrote on Facebook. Those guidelines can be found on the Muni’s website…
