Steve Ribuffo retires as Port of Alaska director after 18 years

There’s a major leadership change at one of Alaska’s most vital transportation hubs.

After 18 years of service, Steve Ribuffo has officially retired as director of the Don Young Port of Alaska.

Ribuffo joined the port in 2007 as deputy director, following a distinguished 30-year career in the U.S. Air Force, where he retired with the rank of colonel. He took over as port director in 2012 and has overseen critical infrastructure upgrades and day-to-day operations at a facility responsible for moving the vast majority of goods entering the state…
