Anchorage Fire Department giving away free bike helmets to kids, teens

In Anchorage, the fire department is once again helping keep kids safe on two wheels—by giving away free bicycle helmets.

In partnership with Safe Kids Alaska and Providence, the Anchorage Fire Department has already handed out 1,000 helmets this summer alone—and more than 35,000 since the program began two decades ago.
