Free weekend shuttle to help Fairview residents after grocery store closure

With the recent closure of the Carrs store on Gambell Street in Anchorage, community partners are stepping up to help Fairview residents maintain access to groceries.

Beginning this Saturday, the Municipality of Anchorage, NeighborWorks Alaska, and BAC Transportation will launch a free shuttle service to assist those affected. The shuttle will transport Fairview residents to the Midtown Carrs and Fred Meyer stores and then bring them back home.
