Anchorage PD report shows a 150% increase in pedestrian traffic fatalities

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – The Anchorage Police Department’s inaugural Annual Report showed 2024 saw a 150% increase in pedestrians killed in traffic incidents year-over-year.

In addition, the report showed there was a 93% increase in all types of fatal crashes. There was also a 27% increase in non-pedestrian fatal crashes from 2023 to 2024.
