Special session returns Tuesday, governor pessimistic about education agenda

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – While the gavels will call the special session back into business Tuesday, a largely empty hall with few legislators — at best — will be present.

“My expectation is probably not a whole lot is going to happen on the 19,” Sen. Bill Wielechowski, D-Anchorage, previously told Alaska’s News Source.

The special session comes out of recess Tuesday, but according to the Senate calendar, it will only be a technical session…
