A Kenai Peninsula woman is recovering in an Anchorage hospital after being severely injured in a bear attack near her home last week, prompting ongoing concern in the community as authorities continue limited patrols of the area.
On the morning of Tuesday, August 26, 36-year-old Ariean Fabrizio Colton was attacked by a bear while jogging near her driveway in the Pillars Boat Launch and Chinook Drive area.
