Sand Point boat captain arrested at Anchorage airport 9 days after being shot with almost $1M in drugs on board

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – The boat captain who attempted to escape Sand Point police Sept. 1 was arrested Wednesday morning at Anchorage’s biggest airport, according to the Alaska State Troopers.

Duke Ogata, a 42-year-old Sand Point resident, was arrested at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport, the statement says.

Ogata was remanded to the Anchorage Correctional Complex and is scheduled to appear in court Thursday at 2:30 p.m. for an arraignment hearing…
