A blistering final kilometer sealed the deal for Anchorage’s Ty Elliott, who led the Seawolves with a fifth-place showing at the Mike Johnson Classic.

The junior had a breakout performance, covering the 8-kilometer course in a personal best of 24 minutes, 14.40 seconds — a sizzling pace of 4:52 per mile — in Monmouth, Ore., while helping UAA take third against a sizable field.
