Exploring Alaska may be high on your bucket list, but in our opinion getting the true Alaskan experience can only be had on an ATV or UTV. While there is an abundance of trails to ride in Alaska, we recommend taking the Jim Creek trailhead over the rest. Why? It’s just a flat-out better experience than any other trail that is near Anchorage and the Mat-Su Borough.

Jim Creek is famous and infamous all in the same breath. Roughly 50 years ago there was a serial killer in the area, but since then the trails have been the attraction. Knik Glacier via Jim Creek is a 38.8-mile, moderately trafficked, out-and-back trail located near Palmer, Alaska, that is rated “moderately difficult.” It’s famous for its breathtaking views all the way to the glacier and its epic beach…
