ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – In this week’s Alaska edition of “We the People,” we continue through October with settlements, turtles, and the largest auction in the state’s history.
Oct. 6, 1995 — Shell, Marathon, and Unocal settled with Trustees for Alaska, Greenpeace, and the Alaska Center for the Environment for more than $1 million for repeatedly dumping drilling wastes and other pollutants from eight oil platforms in Cook Inlet.
