Driver charged with homicide in June crash that killed 79-year-old

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – A 39-year-old man has been charged in connection with a crash that killed a 79-year-old pedestrian on June 2.

Traffic investigators determined that the driver, Mohamed Hajir, was using a screen device when the collision occurred near Benson Boulevard and C Street.

Police say Gladys Graf, 79, was struck while crossing the intersection and later died at an Anchorage hospital. Her family was notified soon after her death…
