Deal leads Alaskans with sub-2:50 performance at Chicago Marathon

Taylor Deal ran her way into Alaska history at the Chicago Marathon.

The 31-year-old Anchorage resident covered the 26.2-mile course in a scorching time of 2 hours, 48 minutes and 42 seconds. Deal finished 95th out of 24,548 women. She also became the eighth-fastest marathoner in Alaska history.
