ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – People who evacuated after Halong hit their village are now in more private shelters.
That’s according to the Alaska Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (DHS&EM) in reference to those who were in large shelters in Anchorage and Bethel.
“It might be dormitories, hotel rooms, just someplace that is a little bit more comfortable for them, where they don’t have to share bathroom and shower facilities in most cases, and someplace that offers a little bit more privacy and comfort for them,” Jeremy Zidek with DHS&EM and the State Emergency Operations Center said…
