‘You feel like a kid again’: Alaskans are getting out in the fresh snow

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – Snow is on the ground in Southcentral Alaska and winter activities have begun.

“The conditions right now are awesome. It’s fun to see snow in November,” Melanee Stiassny, an owner and guide for Girdwood Backcountry Guides, said. “We ended up getting another 2 feet of snow on top of quite a bit of snow in Turnagain Pass.”

While Alyeska Ski Resort isn’t open yet, people are going into the backcountry to have a little fun…
