The Anchorage Police Department (APD) has increased efforts to address organized retail theft in the city. The department launched a targeted operation in late September 2025, which will continue through the end of the year. So far, police have charged more than 60 people, including several repeat offenders. At least $58,000 in stolen property has been recovered.
