Anchorage Nurse Sentenced to Three Years for Illegally Prescribing Controlled Substances

ANCHORAGE — A former advanced nurse practitioner from Anchorage has been sentenced to three years in prison for prescribing powerful painkillers and sedatives without medical justification.

Anchorage Superior Court Judge Catherine Easter on Friday sentenced 58-year-old Kris Rhodes Kile to five years with two suspended, leaving three years to serve, followed by four years of probation.
