ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – A swimming star from Chugiak just achieved countless athletes’ dream: going out on top.
Mustang senior Blake Fazio put a bow on a standout career with a record-breaking performance at the 2025 ASAA/First National Bank Alaska Swim & Dive State Championships, setting a new Alaskan high school watermark in the 200 freestyle by swimming four laps in 1:39.44.
Fazio also came within just 0.2 seconds of breaking the state record in the 100 fly – a record that he himself had set just a week prior – and turned in two blazing legs in the 200- and 400-yard freestyle relays…
