Negligence at the Dealership: A Tale of Theft and Frustration

A recent incident at the Lithia dealership on Old Seward has raised concerns about vehicle security. A customer, who left his jeep at the dealership for a few weeks for service, found that over $3000 worth of items had been stolen from his vehicle upon its return. The stolen items included a Woolf box camera and Ram mounts, which were hardwired and screwed into the vehicle, indicating that the thieves had ample time to remove these items. The vehicle was reportedly not locked at night, and the topper, which had been locked, was found unlocked. Lithia has denied any responsibility for the stolen items.
