ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – Hilltop Ski Area opened the Friday after Thanksgiving, the earliest the Anchorage ski area has opened in several years, according to General Manager Trevor Bird.
Bird said people were excited to hit the slopes and the crowds turned out for opening weekend.
“We saw a little over 2,400 guests from Friday to Sunday,” he said. “Friday was our pass holder day. It was a lot of returning folks, then throughout the weekend, we saw a lot of new faces and a lot of returning guests as well, it was a great turnout.”…
