Snow and icy conditions forced the Anchorage School District to close for the second time this week. Students stayed home on Monday, and schools were closed again on Thursday for safety concerns.
ASD said slippery and icy roads made morning commutes unsafe, especially on side streets. After-school activities were canceled as well.
