ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – U.S. Marine Corps personnel based in Alaska are preparing to distribute tons of toys this month.
On Thursday, Marine Corps members are taking off from Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson on a C-130 flight from Hawaii to distribute toys through the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program across northern Alaska.
“We’ll distribute toys around the Kotzebue area to a couple villages out there,” said Capt. Daniel P. Kelly with the U.S. Marine Corps. “Our Marines go all across the state in order to make sure that happens.”…
