Anchorage man sentenced to 15 years for drug trafficking, firearm possession

An Anchorage man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for trafficking large amounts of narcotics and possessing a firearm in connection with his drug crimes.

Thurman Reed, 67, sold fentanyl, heroin, and methamphetamine in Anchorage throughout early 2024. In May, authorities executed a search warrant at his home and storage unit, recovering over 10 kilograms of methamphetamine, hundreds of grams of fentanyl and heroin, cocaine, and a firearm found among distribution materials.
