On December 9, 2025, the Anchorage Police Department (APD) in Alaska announced the arrival of 26 new recruits in Academy Class 25-2.
APD Chief Sean Case said this class follows Academy Class 25-1, which was the largest since 2020. The two classes increase the number of officers available to serve Anchorage. This is expected to help the department respond to calls and support specialized units.
