ANCHOR POINT, Alaska (KTUU) – The Office of Special Prosecutions (OSP) has determined that an Alaska State Trooper was legally justified in using deadly force when he fatally shot a 30-year-old Anchorage man during an attempted arrest in Anchor Point last fall.
The Alaska Department of Law said Monday that OSP had completed its review of the Sept. 25, 2025, shooting involving Sgt. Daniel Cox of the Alaska State Troopers and Tyler Moyer.
