Snow in the forecast for the weekend

Snow, lots of it, with temperatures ranging from the high 20s to the high 30s, is in the weather forecast for the Cordova area for today, Jan. 9, through Monday, Jan.12.

Total accumulation could be sufficient for some pretty big snow people too, according to weather forecasters.

Meanwhile, much of the rest of Southcentral Alaska, including the Anchorage and Matanuska-Susitna Valley were feeling a much deeper chill. Anchorage, in the throes of subzero temperatures and winds, was forecast for a possible uplift of temperatures in the teens with snow in Anchorage over the weekend, while Palmer, notorious for its high winds, was forecast to see snow as well, with temperatures ranging from 11 above zero to the high 20s…
