Anchorage man arrested in Lowe’s arson case, faces multiple charges

Anchorage Police have arrested a man in connection with multiple fires at a local business.

Officers responded around 9:23 PM on February 2 to Lowe’s on Tudor Road, where the Anchorage Fire Department was already fighting several fires outside the building. Investigators say Duraflame logs were thrown into bundles of cardboard, igniting the flames that caused damage to the building.

Police located and arrested 42-year-old Falani Solomona, who was charged with first-degree arson, criminal mischief, and violating conditions of release. Solomona was remanded to the Anchorage Correctional Complex pending further proceedings…
