Anchorage gears up for Walk for Warmth to help families in need

United Way of Anchorage is hosting its annual Walk for Warmth on Saturday, bringing the community together to support families struggling with heating costs.

The fundraiser raises money for utility assistance, helping neighbors stay safe and warm during the colder months. Every dollar donated goes directly toward supporting families who need help keeping the heat on.

Walkers will start at Romig Middle School and then walk along the Chester Creek Trail before looping back. Check-in begins at 12:30 p.m., and participation is free. Donations will be accepted throughout the event…
