Jager zips to a crazy-fast course record at the 52nd annual American Birkebeiner

Skiing on lightning-fast trails, Luke Jager of Anchorage shattered the American Birkebeiner course record by more than six minutes Saturday in Hayward, Wisconsin.

Conditions for a fast race were ideal, race organizers said: A week-long warm spell with rain, followed by freezing temperatures.
