8 Alaskans, plus one each from UAA and UAF, head to Europe to compete against the world’s best young skiers and biathletes

The Winter Olympics are in the rearview mirror. Straight ahead are four World Junior Championships that will feature Alaska’s rising stars in skiing and biathlon.

Eight Alaskans ranging in age from 16 to 20, plus two skiers from UAA and UAF, will compete in championships that will crown the world’s best junior-level and U-23 athletes.

Seven are headed to Lillehammer, Norway, for the March 2-8 World Junior and U-23 cross-country and nordic combined championships…
