ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – The nationwide conversation about data center development has arrived in Anchorage, as the Assembly is to hear public comment on the topic at Tuesday’s meeting.
Alaska currently hosts seven data centers across the state, two of them are in Anchorage, according to Data Center Map. While data centers have been around for decades now, Alaska falls towards the bottom of the list compared to most states, especially large states like California, Texas and Virginia, who leads the country with well over 500 data centers.
