On April 7, 2026, Anchorage voters will decide Proposition 11, which would raise property taxes in the Bear Valley Limited Road Service Area. A “yes” vote would allow up to a 0.75 mill increase (about $75 more per $100,000 of assessed property value) to fund road maintenance and snow plowing. A “no” vote would keep the current tax rate. If approved, the new rate could start with the 2026 tax year, and the Bear Valley LRSA Board would set the exact amount each year. Only property owners in the Bear Valley LRSA are affected. A simple majority vote is needed for it to pass.
